Danny Garcia is a waste of funds and time. he isn't a boxer anymore, he just comes back every couple years to waste tv time and funds they should go to hungry fighters. plus he just goes to whatever weight class he doesn't have to work hard to get off any weight etc. can't stand him. go away. nothing of any consequence will come out of this fight. bore

Danny while I agree with you that the lay off time has helped heal your mind, body, and spirit.
It does very little if anything in keeping you sharp, and ready for fighting in the ring.
Since your fight with Errol Spence, 4 years ago Lara has fought 3 times, and you've only fought once.
The only advantage that you have going for you in this fight is that Lara is 41 years old, five years older than you.
He won't be as fast as in the past, but he has stopped his last two opponents, which is indicative of him sitting down on his punches due to his age.
Those 1-2's that you like to throw so much, better be turned up to 3-4-5's', if you plan to get Lara out of there.
If you don't he'll outpoint you like your opponents have in all of your losses, or be the first one to stop you.

I think Danny has enough resiliency to make it to a UD. Lara has been sitting down on his punches, true, but the fighters he’s stopped aren’t exactly iron-chinned killers.

Not that Danny is a legitimate middleweight, but he’s shown he has a solid chin and I doubt it’s deteriorated in his time off. His timing, stamina, and reflexes are going to hinder him severely. I like Lara by UD in a 10-2, 9-3 affair.

It might have been good for you personally to be out for two years , it couldn't have been good for you as a fighter though. That's a lot of rust built up.

I thought the same thing when I heard him mention Devon Alexander being one of his sparring partners.
How is sparring with Alexander who doesn't fight anything like Lara going to prepare him for the fight?
Well I'm going out on a limb this time, and hope that Danny throws more combinations in this fight then he has in past fights.
That's the only way that this fight will end well for him, otherwise he's not out boxing Lara,

Why this fight is fought at a catchweight; I’ll never understand? By being the older man it’s much harder for Erislandy to cut weight than Danny.

If the fight is for the Middleweight title then just make the damn fight at the maximum weight limit of 160 lbs already! To Hell with a catchweight!

The cowardly Danny Garcia is hoping to attempt to gain an unfair advantage over the older Lara by weakening him.

However, It won’t matter or make any bit of difference though. Since I expect Erislandy Lara to tax that ass anyhow.

Almost exactly what I was gonna write. Danny’s gonna get beat up, maybe even stopped for the first time. Lara hasn’t exactly been crazy active himself; but he has fought more recently, and he’s simply the bigger man. It’s a very rare athlete that can get off the couch and win a title. Garcia ain’t that guy.
