He paid his dues and made his bones on SHObox. He then graduated to headlining Showtime main event cards. Even fighting as the co main on a Tank card. Everything was going to plan. Canelo is finally rich enough where his desire to fight is waning. Wilder has been literally his PPV pedestal and there are no more American HWs left to fill it. Spence probably has one or two more decent PPVs left in him before he's out. Bud has decided he likes to fight in relative obscurity. Ryan will be drugged out in a mental hospital before he gets another fight. Tank is the last man standing but he probably caps out at 500k unless he's fighting Loma or someone really good. That left Boots and PBC was probably going to pour everything in him (no Diddy) to put him in position for WW supremacy. Then on to 154-168 world dominance for the next decade. He wasn't going to have any challengers because America literally has no more HW hopefuls after Big fat Baby Anderson got prison ****d by the Cameroonian. Man does he have a terrible business team. He got sweet talked by the silver tongued Brit who has a horrible track record with Dazn of making any type of American star. Hearn failed Andrade, Jacobs, Farmer and Haney. Bud just headlined a fight that lost millions and not even one American network even acknowledged he was fighting. Now Boots has tethered himself to Hearn who isn't even in charge of Matchroom anymore because the Iron Sheik has taken over. Turd-ki is claiming that he will be guiding the careers of Boots, Bud and SHEkur Twitterson. What happened to Sir Eddie? DAMN!!! Normally I would end this by saying Jesus Christ but I guess I better start saying ALLAHU AKBAR!!!!!
In fairness, there are 0 big fights to be made at 147 regardless of if boots fights the other champs or not.
Im sure pbc knows barrios stands no chance of winning and stanionis has a slim chance. Im sure they know they can wait Boots out because he isn't gonna be able to make 147 much longer

Why doesn't boots just go to 154 and put his name in that mix? That division is crowded and as 147 champ, i think that puts him as automatic mandatory for fundora\spence winner.
Seems like the common sense thing to do is move up

Ennis went the andrade route. Really pathetic tbh. Ennis for all his hype and talent really signed with Hearn who has done what for fighters in his position previously? Andrade and Haney. He couldn’t get Andrade canelo or GGG and couldn’t get Haney a single relevant fight. Ennis went from one terrible promotional situation to another. Seen more than one elite wasted talents career go down like this

It's hard to be undisputed champ when the other title holders don't want to fight you.

Barrios and Norman Jr. are terrified of the guy, or their teams certainly are.

Don't worry about undisputed at welterweight, move up to light middleweight. I think a guy like Madrimov is not afraid and would fight. Tszyu would as well. Crawford, not sure, he just wants the biggest payday.

This really sums up the odd situation of American fighters signing with Hearn. They just go nowhere…fast. It’s like as soon as they sign with him they become irrelevant. Boots was the hottest up and coming thing in the game and now there’s just no buzz. His career will be a reminder of the great song “Shooting Star” by Bad Company. “Boots career passed him by like a warm summer day.”

I don’t think they’re scared of ennis Hearn just offered up pennies like he always does. He signed ennis and offered him big money per fight but offers his opponents pennies. Just like Andrade and Haney. Haney was able to buy himself out and get to top rank but ennis just signed he’s in purgatory till he moves to 154 and starts begging turki

Drop the belt, and go to 154! Madrimov is in-house! Why not make that fight, even if it's not for a title? Sure would like to know who Barrios, Stanionis, and Norman are fighting next!?

Hearnd doesn't have WBC, WBA and IBF on his payroll like Haymon has. Yes, in that order.
                You know that, Lance.

One of the big folleys with this current generation of boxing is the big push for a fighter to go undisputed. It brings on FAR MORE break points in making superfights that capture fan imagination. It causes peak years to pass. By the time Ennis were to win all 4 belts (if he even made to that point - no guarantee despite the hype), he'll be 29 or 30 years old. The stars at 154 will be gone for one reason or another. Fractured titles are imperfect but over time the true hardcore fans recognize who is indeed the best in a given division. I honestly believe Team Ennis needs to rethink their career strategy.

Goddamn it! Let him move up to 154. Shit! His career is just stalling away from inactivity at 147. No one who is good or undefeated wants to fight this kid.

I know in the past that Vergil Ortiz had expressed a wish or desire to fight him. So why not pit those two together?

Looks like Haymon is still in talks with Warner Brothers for expansion of PBC according to an article featured on World Boxing “Nooz” yesterday
