In other words if it were Pacman who was doing bigger PPV numbers than Floyd, would Floyd be justified in asking for and receiving a 50/50 split?

of course it is but fans shouldnt care how much each fighter makes . Thats for fighters and promoters to debate about . It just really pisses me off when people say floyd/pac shouldnt fight unless they get x amount of dollars , %ppv sales etc. Talking about which fighter is the biggest draw .They should just hope the fight happens ... no more no less.

I think these type of debates though are good because it does educate the masses about how the business side is indeed ran.

Pacquiao on paper has done a hell of a lot more to deserve the bigger check though, but 50/50 would do considering the amount of money they would both make.

You can't deserve more because you did more in the ring; doesn't work like that.

While Mayweather vs Marquez failed to sell out, Pacquiao vs Cotto sold out in a matter of minutes.

Exactly, It's dumb to say, "Pacquiao has done more, he deserves more". What you accomplish in the sport had ZERO to that with a split.
