Cuban has been producing athletes in general before the Soviets show up. I can name you a few pre-castro athletes.

There is something to the investment and boxing coaches at Uzbek. Russia and Ukraine are busy fighting a bloodbath ... the loss of men and the wounded.....As a result Uzbek cleaned up at the games. What happened to Cuba? Do you want to hear my review of Dev?

      N. Dev was just a guy in the field of 71 KG fighters. There are guys who hit harder and three are guys who are quicker. Dev was well schooled as his father was a boxer and at mid range, and as such he wisely uses his speed and guile to beat the other guy at mid range to the punch. He was sneaky in that regard. His upside was more maxed out than his opponents, but he is not a great pro prospect. You hyped him a bit too much.

To be fair the jalalov one is nonsense,
allowing 14 fight pros to compete in the Olympics is ridiculous

Don't tell that to the nationalists but it is true.

I blocked HeadShots a while ago Americans aren't good fighters? Lol I guess that is why black Americans have dominated the higher weight classes in boxing for the last 60 years right? Black Americans just don't care about boxing as much anymore. Now you see some other countries winning belts and guess what? Nobody cares about boxing much period anymore.

                      absolutely

It's like Mexicans always talk about their great boxing history but it's 95% fighters who are the size of teenage girls.

the reality is most countries don't have that many men the size of 13 year old girls. I could probably walk around my city all day and not even see one, maybe 1 at most and it's a good chance they might have a disability.

Being a grown man that is about 5'4 and weighs 122 lbs is such a rare thing in most countries that if you're that size and become a boxer, you're probably already the best in your city because there's nobody else that small.

apart from one or two outliers, Mexicans are useless when it comes to normal size men fighting. Same with USA these days
