They gotta fight each other to answer that question. Stanionis is the only one that I think is actually willing to fight anyone.

a p4p guy. Boots doesn’t have 3 opponents at 147 that can offer that legitimacy. All the talent is at 154 now including bud and Spence and even his same age contemporary rival Ortiz is at 154. Unifying 147 even becoming undisputed at 147 now is not that prestigious as in the past. 154 is the deep end now boots is 26 if he trying to wait 3-4 years to jump in with the guys that are vying for the top now that’s just weak. The time is now for boots ennis and Vergil Ortiz. If they can’t do it now then they’re not the best. No shame in that but there is shame in not taking the shot imo

Bruh! Bud fought Khan and Brook when both were washed out and not even ranked at WW.
Porter was a legit opponent. Porter is always game.

Crawford is the first guy in history to unify 147 so it is a prestigious accomplishment. Like I said, Boots wants to build his legacy just like Bud. If unifying was meaningless, then why is Bud being celebrated for his unifications?
Bud is now a 4 division champion. A rare feat. That notation will forever be attached to his name just like how Oscar is a 6 division champion and Floyd is a 5 division champion.

Boots will not be at 147 long. Most likely unify all the belts in 2025 and then move up.

I don't think ODLH really wants it! He's always saying, "if that's what Vergil wants..." His victory should make him a WBC Champion, so I think that WBA mando spot will be gone!

De La Hoya: Vergil Ortiz Jr.-Tim Tszyu is the fight should both win
            By Lance Pugmire
Published Thu Aug 08, 2024, 04:50 PM EDT

LAS VEGAS – With a wealth of options in boxing’s deepest division, Oscar De La Hoya said the latest talks point a victorious Vergil Ortiz Jr. toward his first title against Tim Tszyu.

Much still needs to transpire, with Ortiz (21-0, 21 KOs) entering the Mandalay Bay ring Saturday night against rugged World Boxing Council interim 154-pound champion Serhii Bohachuk (24-1, 23 KOs).

But De La Hoya said his latest discussion with Saudi Arabia-based power broker Turki Alalshikh is aiming Ortiz at Australia’s former World Boxing Organization champion Tszyu...

“The plan is winning Saturday and becoming [interim] world champion. There’s a possibility [then] of Ortiz fighting Tim Tszyu later this year,” De La Hoya told BoxingScene before the Ortiz-Bohachuk news conference. “That’s the ideal [path]: Fighting Tszyu and then fighting the king, [unbeaten four-division and new World Boxing Association champion] Terence Crawford.”

That was 2 days before the fight. Turki wants Crawford vs. Ortiz Jr.! Like I said, after seeing the fight, I think Oscar has the better plan, but Turki is pissed with Tszyu, so I think Turki will overrrule Oscar!

I doubt it's De La Hoya.
              He fed Linares to Loma
              Gilberto Ramirez to Bivol
Mungia to Canelo, he has a track record for not ducking himself or for having his fighters duck.
              .

The quote in bold is from De La Hoya. Those are his words. Anyway, Turki wants the fight to happen, so I'm sure it's gonna happen!
