Last time I remember watching Agbeko was the Rigo fight, I assumed he had retired years ago tbh.

    Enjoy retirement champ.

I made the mistake of buying tickets, driving 4 hours to my hometown, and seeing that in person. Brutally boring event and got stuck in a freak snow storm on the way back.

Agbeko was a good, durable fighter but I don't remember him being the most aesthetically pleasing to watch. He had some close scraps with Darchinyan, Yohnny Perez and Abner Mares.

Who could ever forget his ring wars with Abner Mares in one of the worst official refereeing jobs I’ve ever seen in history by Russell Mora

Mora allowed Mares to cheat in plain sight. He punched Agbeko in the nuts for over 25 times throughout the entire fight and called two illegal knockdowns legitimate knockdowns in order to secure an Abner Mares victory.

Which is the reason why Don King appealed to the sanctioning bodies as they subsequently order an immediate rematch.

Mora did that shit because both himself and Abner Mares are both of Spanish or of Mexican descent. Therefore, he was both partial and biased towards Abner Mares in that fight.

It’s brutal when that happens. I had a similar experience with Klitschko-Haye, stuck in the p***ing rain all night and an absolute stinker of a main event. To top things off my flight got delayed on the way home too.

Yeah he was a solid fighter, reminded me a bit of a smaller version of Clottey. Tough, compact, good work rate, decent power.

In your defense, I would have expected something more from Haye and Klitschko. Massively disappointing. I had nobody else to blame except for myself...I should know what to expect from a Rigo fight.

I was fortunate enough to be at an indoor venue. I couldn't imagine having to watch either of these fights in the rain.

That was definitely one of the more scandalous ref jobs in modern history. Up there with Salido-Loma. Just trash.

                    Enjoy your retirement, champ.

Hopefully you've recovered from Mares hitting you in the nuts 1000x back 2011.

What they did to you was ****ed up.
