Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury talks retirement, says boxing is 'more addictive than any drug'

When Tyson Fury isn't taunting it, or tempting it, or indeed tweeting about it at regular intervals throughout the year, he happens to be surprisingly cogent and insightful on the subject of retirement.

Not yet Tyson, rematch with Usyk first. Then win or lose against Usyk, finish with fight against Joshua. Then retirement.

I much suspected he would retire after the AJ fight anyway, assuming he doesn't go off the rails should he lose to Usyk again.

Imagine fighting for 16 years and your third best career win is either Dillian Shyte or Del Boy....

I suppose a Fury/AJ fight would still do big business, but its not a particularly meaningful fight anymore in terms of really proving anything. If it had happened 5-6 years ago when it should have I think Fury would have won, now he will get his **** pushed in.

You can't believe anything Fury says. Tomorrow he will say something else.

hes got to prepare for the fight of his life next, if he loses again he will end up being known as another usyk victim, kinda like AJ actually

Even though I felt he won the first fight I don't see him retiring after the rematch, he like the lime light and he's ****** rich which may contribute to wanting to retire. I think he gets the rematch by a wider margin this time. Just waiting till October, Undisputed ps5 game release, already did pre-order.
