Maybe the 1st one he may have been caught with his legs cross but not the 2nd. The second was a well timed counter when someone's punching.

And to the bolded, unsure what fight you were watching but every straight right hand that landed in the 10-12th buckled the sh.t outta Ortiz. Not to mention, I believe wholeheartedly Vergil was going to be stopped and the ref untaped his gloves. Even Robert Garcia looked embarrassed. Rewatch the 12th.

P.S. I'm Chicano, I wanted Ortiz to be great too but hes not. Good fighter but he will be lucky to achieve Fernando Vargas status (who imo is dramatically overrated.)

Nah, I don't see Crawford taking another fight for the rest of the year. He'll let them (Ortiz, Bohachuk) take their rematch, soften them up. Even then the money has to be silly substantial for Crawford to take such fight. You'll soon see. Canelo fight is no longer on the table, so let's see what his next story would be. PBC needs to do something to take Crawford away from Turki. Let him take the Spence rematch or Jermell Charlo, that's what Crawford always wanted.

A smart move for Ortiz would be to heal and hope Spence wins at 154. Ortiz can beat Spence and Fundora. But he isn't beating Bud or Tszyu. That dude Cornwell would also be a horrible style match up for Ortiz.

That's an interesting take. I'm not sure how many people want to see the Spence/Crawford rematch.

          But Jermell Charlo did:

Visually he seems to be one of the best. Unfortunately he does not have the resume to support that claim. Also he is not a ppv star and he does not have a belt at 154 so he does not have a lot to offer to the elite at 154. That is why they are not going to fight him. High risk, very low reward. So every negative comment against Boots does not mean that people hate him. It just means he needs to do more to prove himself to the fans.

Do you know how much PPV Crawford vs Khan made? Or Crawford vs Brook? 135,000 and 50,000.
This is a guy that unified 135 and 140 and his numbers were terrible.
As for Boots not having a resume, what kind of resume did Avanesyan, Kavaliauskas or Khan have to fight Bud? Madrimov was 10-0 when he fought Bud. Nobody knew who he was.
Are you saying he is a bigger name than Boots? What exactly did he do to “prove” himself to fans?
What exactly did Avanesyan or Kavaliauskas or Benavidez do to prove themselves? They all got a shot at Bud.

Assuming you’re referring to the delay in the Crawford Spence fight happening, I don’t think anybody outside the negotiations can accurately say whose fault it was as they both blamed each other for years. Personally I believe it was PBC being protectionist and not wanting to let go of the belts and shielding Spence from Crawford, milking them until they ran out of options following the Mayweather Pacquiao model. Garbage and bad for the sport. The Spence Crawford fight should’ve happened earlier and would have been more competitive / a better fight if it had, just like Pacquiao Mayweather. Text book PBC tactics and they spin any old rubbish to try a hoodwink the fans.
