Nonito Donaire of the Philippines and Nicaragua's Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez are currently in conversations to stage a fight by year's end, Donaire told BoxingScene Saturday night before he settled in at Mandalay Bay to watch Vergil Ortiz Jr.'s majority decision victory over Serhii Bohachuk.

Would be cool if they could stage a fight like this in New York, during HOF weekend, will obviously happen way before June next year though

I'd like to see this fight , especially if Donaire promises to retire after. He didn't look good at all in his last fight against a guy who wouldn't have a shot against a prime Donaire. Chocolatito looked good in his last fight , though you have to wonder how much of that was the opponent. I think that Chocolatito has a good bit more left than Nonito , but it's still an intriguing contest. I'll never forget how Nonito beat the snot out of the most obnoxious and unlikeable person to step into a boxing ring. I'm talking about Vic The **** Darchinyan. Also unforgettable was the conversation between Nonito and Axe Man Nicholas Walters after their fight. An absolutely beautiful moment between two first class human beings. Mankind at its finest.
I'd rather see Chocolatito vs Estrada again , but this fight is good enough for me.

Not to excited not knowing what Donaire has left
I think he should retire instantly and keep teaching the young ones how to box
              Imo , he’d be a great trainer

In before a bunch of dudes who can't get laid say a bunch of weird incel stuff about Nonito Donaire's wife.

                  Whoops, too late.

Anyway, love Donaire and love Chocolatito. Hope they give us an incredible fight and then both retire with their heads held high. Easy first ballot HOF guys.

Both guys are immensely likeable but I don't want to see this fight. Donaire should leave now. There's nothing left to prove or really gain other than a fight payday. He can make lots more dough without having to risk his health.
