Flash knockdown

My problem is that I don't think anyone dominated anyone in this fight. Ortiz was busier but Bohachuk was crisper. If Ortiz was in any trouble it was because he refused to slow down, and nearly tired himself out a couple of times. Bohachuk on the other hand did not appear to be bothered too much by Ortiz' accumulation, and while he landed a LOT of good rights to the head, and I do mean a lot, he pretty much treated the body like it was a toxic waste zone and he simply wasn't as flashy as Ortiz, who showed more aggression even with the knockdowns and simply landed more of those rib tenderizing body shots. But with Bohachuk's right hands and the knockdowns, a draw would have been fitting. But no one was really dominated in my opinion. It was close. And Bohachuk put some shine on his name like I thought he would. Great fight. I loved it. I am fine with the outcome. I would like a rematch, but fine with moving on.

This is the rational take , I said in the fight thread that Vergil needed a KO to win given those 2 10-8 rounds ..When the fight ended I said scores would be interesting as I thought Vergil swept the championship rounds , and all 3 judges gave him the last 3 and one gave him the last 4 ..

IF that happens, I will be pleased. Whether you thought either man won, it was VERY close and deserving to be run back before both parties move on. I like when fighters remove ALL doubt. Most of the time.Comment
