Knock downs don't automatically you win the fight, especially when it's a competitive fight.

Ortiz is no where near the skill level of Marquez do you even watch boxing. Ortiz is one basic fighter who isn't cable of a comeback like Marquez

You mean three times, right? 2004? 1st fight? First round?

Sure, I agree with you. Knockdowns don’t automatically win you fights, but Ortiz rallied to dig himself out of a hole.

I personally had it 113-113 and gave Vergil the last three rounds.

The judges probably scored another one of the swing rounds I gave to Bo to Vergil instead which explains Vergil winning.

Now, I don’t agree with that but as another poster said, “Bohachuk didn’t do himself any favors by losing those last three rounds.”

He tried, I’ll give him that. I loved his attitude in the post fight as well. He wasn’t salty or bitter, he thought he won (understandable) but Ortiz fought very well down the stretch.

If you wanna’ cite the prime example of “get knocked down several times but still win the fight and nobody complains” it’s Klitschko vs. Samuel Peters, by the way. Wladimir got dropped three times in that fight, but nobody batted an eye when he got the decision. It was one of those fights where the ONLY rounds Peters won where the ones with the knockdown.

But naturally, this is boxingscene, and every time there’s a close fight and the favorite edges it, it’s called a “robbery”. Overused as hell.

And I wanted Bohachuk to win, but the scorecards weren’t wildly askew.

Yeah but that was a 10-7 1st round. JMM had evened the fight by the 5th round.

Never said his skills were on par with Marquez. You’re totally missing the point and your comprehension skills suck.

Ah, ****. Here we go. Vergil is a basic fighter now.

I wonder what you would’ve said back then when Marquez priced himself out initially for the Pacquiao rematch and went and got beaten by Chris John from Indonesia.

              Lmao
              Yup your absolutely right
              A man with an agenda
And no one is comparing anything to Marquez lol but somehow that’s what the poster implies
I had Virgil winning a tight fight and also take note I, I thought he did much better than his opponent in the knockdown rounds

Ortiz won deservedly. He applied intelligence in the decisive segment of the fight, boxing Bohachuk and stinging him often with excellent shots. Ortiz got up immediately from what were basically two flash knockdowns; Bohachuk was stunned several times in the fight, and struggled a little more to remain in it.

Especially the first flash knockdown , I had Ortiz winning that round thoroughly although the flash knockdown
