Ortiz loads up on every shot like Canelo does, he hits damn hard but he doesn't really change the pace, so you can get used to the power after a while, plus it saps a lot of energy putting that much torque in all your punches. He's got a lot of talent and can really hit, I do love what he brings on offense, but he's nowhere near ready for a fighter as intelligent and fundamentally sound as Crawford. In a perfect world, that fight would be 18 to 24 months down the line for Ortiz, but Crawford is probably not around or not interested by that time, so there's a good chance the fight never happens. Ortiz definitely needs to focus on different fights to continue his development.

Z, what you think that Vergil will try and wait Bud out due to his age? Truthfully I think TC has looked better in his later years! I also think people are sleeping on Madrimov. Vergil ortiz is way too sloppy, has leaky defence and got knocked down in this fight by a guy that has been ko'ed before. Vergil should have lost. He isn't going to beat crawford.

I kind of feel like Ortiz would actually give the performance that many expected Spence too.

I'll say Crawford but Ortiz is a bad dude. It might play into his hands a bit but I'd love to see Crawford try deal with someone that had that sort of intensity and wasn't mesmerised and allowing themselves to get picked off.
