That's cool bro, you're entitled to like what you like. Champs and Fights in the 80's were much different than today and fighters had less say on who they were to face. But believe it or not, money was always important. Some of those Great fighters who didn't prioritize the money aspect of the sport wound up broke with major health and physical problems without a pot to piss in. Which is a travesty because Puas Olivares is one of those great fighters that didn't choose to, or wasn't given a say in who he fought and for how much.

I grew up with an Olympian Boxer friend as well as a pro boxer friend who fought at the Great Western Forum and he would always tell me, "I fight and take punches to the face to try and feed my family". I was much too young to understand why he would say that as I had never looked at boxing from that perspective. He was a hard hitter and good but never achieved world status nor a major title

Yes, the big names of boxing nowadays act more like divas, but so do all athletes in every major sport. It's just the times we live in, but I respect every boxer that climbs up on that ring and takes punches to the head and body for my entertainment. I'm not doing it!

Calling Timmy a key figure is cute. Has a couple decent wins and as of right now is the odd man out at 154, unfortunately.

Ginger is gonna continue to do the puto shi.t hes doing while getting s.hit on by mexican media in his country and by his OGs of the sport. Just saw a sports segment, as I'm down in LA atm, on televisa and multiple boxing fans and retired fighters were interviewed who all said it's a shame what he's doing and showing no respect for the sport. It is what it is. I don't and never have bought any of his fights. I would have, had his balls dropped and he fought Benavidez. It's honestly no sweat off my back. No, this was about me stating that I found it refreshing that at least 2 key figures in the boxing industry aren't bending over for Turki. Hopefully more boxers follow suit! Below is my original post that set you off.

Whats wrong and unprofessional is making a fight 1.5 months before, like he isnt already cherry picking a trash opp in BerNALGAS lol and This isn't about Timmy, this is about Ginger.

The difference is that it is wrong, unprofessional and foolish to negotiate a future fight before a fight that is only a few weeks away. It was foolish for Turki to announce that he wanted Bud to fight Canelo just minutes or hours before fighting Madrimov just as he said right before Ortiz fought Bohachuk that if victorious he wanted Ortiz to fight Bud.

Those two fights were fairly close enough to where many felt that the wrong man was awarded the victory because of pre planned fights. Why can't Turki continue to put on good/great without acting like a spoiled child? The dude also had a fit for some reason regarding Tszyu. Are you gonna claim that Tszyu is a diva too?
