I like both these guys an think its a great fight. My advice to Hurd is forget the head, go for all body shots. It's Rosario. If Hurd avoids whats coming back he'll fold him up.

Hurd was big and strong at 154 and would have a size advantage against alot of opponents but he was always a little limited especially defensively that's why I always fought Charlo would of probably beat him handily if they was to fight a few years back but he lost to J-rock before we found out.. but if he beats Rosario and Lara beats Garcia then yeah id watch a rematch between them

I liked Hurd and felt his fights were unnecessary wars if he learned some defense. I hope over time that he learned to duck, hold up his hands, used a shoulder roll, tie up a fighter, etc. I do not want to see him block punches with his face anymore. That won't get him far in boxing. Beating another shopworn fighter in Rosario won't do him any good but we all have to start off somewhere. If he wins, then he will be a good gatekeeper at the middleweight division or someone will call him and give him 3 weeks notice for a title fight.

Danny Garcia got an undeserved title shot off his name. Why not Hurd?

I agree. I remember him saying the first thing he did with his money was buy his mom a house and he goes there on the weekends to mow her lawn for her. He genuinely seemed like a good dude and had a fan friendly style, sucks he went downhill so fast. I don't think his comeback will go too far, but I'm rooting for him too.

Hurd is done and has been for a while now. Beating another boxer who is also done isn't gonna change anything.

What's funny is that Hurd is correct, early in his career he was a pretty decent boxer and tended to keep things on the outside and try to avoid punches.

Even if he beats an equally shopworn Rosario, my fears are that he's done at anything near a contender level. Regardless, I will be pulling for Swift in his comeback.

The first time I watched Hurd was vs. Galarza, and he actually showed some boxing ability. Once he became a pressure fighter, he never seemed able to revert back to his previous style, or incorporate some of those out-boxing traits into his pressure-fighting. Fans who only watched his career post-Harrison thought he had zero boxing ability. His skill-set seemed to regress when he got to world-level, which is abnormal.
