    Interesting.

After recent fights I'd think twice about picking Povetkin again.

With that idiot Teddy Atlas in his corner, Povetkin will lose this time.
How can you call Teddy an idiot? I mean, hes one of the speakers in fight nicht round 4.
But seriously, Povetkin could lose to Chambers, not because of Atlas but because of the fact that Chambers slimmed dowm pretty much and stays at that weight. Povetkin has to improve quiet a bit to beat Eddie again. But i think Atlas is a way better trainer for Povetkin than that unknown russian amateurtrainer of his.

        Don't wait on Povetkin, Eddie!

Just work your ass off until the spring and fight Wlad!

That "unknown russian amateur trainer of his" is the most famous and highly regarded boxing trainer in Europe, and has had his fighters (Abraham, etc) win far more world title fights (10+) than than Atlas(only one).

          Teddy Atlas:

          - had fighters in many world title fights, but won only ONCE.
          - previously successful fighters lost confidence and motivation, and so declined with Teddy (Kirk Johnson, Michael Moorer, etc.)
          - Teddy took a gun to Donny Lalonde's house and waited in the bushes for him. Is that sane?
          - Teddy picks the wrong fighter to win most of the time.
          - after being around boxing for over 30 years, Teddy still doesn't know how to score a fight!

The IBF has confirmed Povetkin will fight for the interim title:

            (from fight news)

"Russian star Alexander Povetkin (17-0, 12 KOs) will fight for the IBF Interim Heavyweight Championship, the IBF has confirmed. “That is great news for Alexander,” Sauerland Event General Manager Chris Meyer said. “He has been waiting for his title shot for such a long time. We are very happy that the IBF grants Alexander this chance.” The 30-year-old Olympic gold medal winner has been waiting for his IBF title shot ever since beating Eddie Chambers, who is now the WBO mandatory challenger, in an elimination tournament in January 2008. A first showdown with Klitschko failed to materialise in December 2008 when Povetkin injured his ankle in practice. The IBF ordered Klitschko to defend his title against Povetkin before September 13, 2009. However, the Ukrainian champion opted to fight Ruslan Chagaev in June 2009 instead. He needed to undergo shoulder surgery afterwards and has been declared unfit to fight until the end of 2009. Since Klitschko´s latest injury significantly extends Povetkin´s waiting time yet again, the IBF ordered an interim title fight. “Finally, the waiting is over for Povetkin,” Meyer added. “He gets what he deserves – a world title fight in the near future. We are all tired of waiting for Klitschko.”

If Eddie Chambers does not want to fight Povetkin for the IBF Interim Title, Samuel Peter would be the next in line. “We are waiting to see who the opponent will be,” Meyer added. “We will then work out the date and the venue as soon as possible.” The title shot means that Povetkin will not take a tune-up fight in Baltimore on October 16."

Since when was Wlad not wanting to fight Povetkin? It was Povetkins people who did'nt want the fight yet because they were'nt ready.

                  Exactly...

                  Povetkin has delayed it twice.

It seems like these guys (yeah Wlad, Alex, and Eddie) are not in any rush to fight. WTF, if Vitali can have a fight in September and one subsequently in December, than why can’t these guys get it together for this year?

Wlads injured right now and is getting surgery.
