Easy. People are still high on the Oscar delahoya/Ricky Hatton wins. Most of the people who make the odds are not looking at the fight objectively, yet. Maybe when the fight nears--you'll see the odds even out.

The vegas oddsmakers make the lines, they know what they are doing. Then when the fight gets closer people make bets and it'll push the line up or down but I'm thinking this fight is going to remain the same

It may change you never know. But in general--Cotto shouldn't be an underdog. That's clear as day for me atleast.

I'm cheering for Cotto myself but Vegas never gives out free money. I think they took into consideration of Cotto going through so many wars. Pacquiao is relatively fresh and yes the DLH/Hatton fights might have made the lines alittle high but I do feel like Pacquiao should be the favorite.

I was just about to say that. 130lb./135lb. "Pretty Boy" is the greater and more dangerous fighter than 147lb. "Money" anyday....JLC words carry SOME weight, but he is being paid by team Pac....

i think they put more credence on cotto's last fight. they think cotto was never the same fighter after the margo debacle. this is one reason i think why most people put their money on pacquiao eventhough cotto has the clear advantage in size and strength.

No. My argument would be that JLC as great as a fighter he is, was brought in to give a look. Regardless of prime or not, his job is to provide a good look for pac on whatever it is they are trying to work on. Prime or not has no argument for a workout regimen. Anyone who has been in the sport knows, sparring and working out are about emulation, situational training, and getting a good workout. To argue prime for prime or anything else is irrelevant.
