I never wanted Canelo/Crawford, so this is music to my ears. I'd rather Turki spend his resources on boxers that actually need it. He could probably throw an entire event for what it would cost to sign Canelo.

There won't be a rematch until Madrimov gets another piece of the 154 title pie. That would be a great dramatic easily marketable fight. I could see both guys ending up with 2 belts each, and make the rematch for Undisputed.

I’m glad Canelo lost this payday, eff him. You have people willing to beat him at his own division and he doesn’t want the smoke. I hope turki forced him to fight bivol at 168 like bivol wanted so he can get sparked tf out and sent off into the sunset.

Crawford still has plenty of fights left in him, fighting one retirement fight isn't good business for him or the camels .....

For example: Two hundred fifty million dollars to fight David Benavidez man? Can he be serious? If that’s his bottom line. Then who the fuck needs him?

Soon he will find out that all roads leads to his Excellency.
That’s my take as well. Verbiage seems to imply they feel as though negotiations are not worth their time. Although it’s business, it’s not a stretch for the cats in Saudi to feel somewhat disrespected by Canelo’s outrageous demands.

I remember when there were whispers of AJ fighting Ruiz in Saudi, some respectable boxing journalists expressed their distaste with the venue due to its reputation for disregarding human rights civil liberties. Specifically regarding the crown prince luring Khashoggi back to Saudi, having him killed and dismembered in a hotel… money seems to wash everything away

Canelo doesn't need the saudis, he is near the end of his career, he will do what he wants, good for him.

Canelo made his money, not the saudis
