This most likely has everything to do with the fact that Canelo is literally the only fighter on the planet who can already make "f*** off" money on his own without the Saudi purses.
I'd be so curious to know what his real actual number was- rumor is 150M I think?

Also unrelated- but I feel a lot of people are giving some pretty brain dead takes on Madrimov when talking about/relating him to Canelo. I think Madrimov is going to show us some special stuff over his next few fights if he keeps getting great matchmaking via Saudi $. A Bud rematch would be very interesting.

He only had his 11 fights - which was such a big criticism of that match, but all that means is we didn't know who he was. But now we know he can operate at a high and sustained level of mental engagement on top of everything- him and Bud was an unrelenting chess match IMHO and I really enjoyed the fight!
