Eating good, taking supplements mostly improve how your body looks more than performance. There are millions of amateur body builders that have better body physiques then boxers.

I never bother with supplements, just have a health diet although i like cakes and ice cream. I remember watching a documentary about Michael Watson and his mum used to cook him massive meals like big roast dinners all the time and he did fine.

Dont think you will be winning any world titles too soon , it really amazes me the ignorance shown on Boxing Scene , but I do keep forgetting most here are under 25 .

why would i win any world titles? i am in decent enough shape and go to the boxing gym normal about once a week and train 3-4 times a week at home to stay in shape but why would i need to take supplements?

I know a lot of top sportsmen that didn’t bother with nutrition back in the 80's not many F1 drivers bothered with it Rosberg was an excellent driver but he was a big drinker who would then go out in the boiling heat of a south American grand prix and perform excellent. Nutrition is important at the top end of sport but for most people it’s a waste of time just eat well that’s all you need to do. Unless you’re really competing at the high level why waste your money.

And I know some old fellas that have smoked 2 packetts a day for 50 years ,,, the post topic states nutrition is over rated well thats bull**** , if a man or an animal can compete at such and such level on poor nutrition , he will compete at a higher lever with the best nutrition based on scientific facts and this is 100% fact .... common sense says its not that crucial if you just want to be healthy , but to say its over rated come on now , ive trained Greyhounds and without supps they will show you they are lacking while under heavy training , thats the thing with animals no placebo effect , it works or it doesnt !
