Which Loss Caused More Wear & Tear: Spence-TBud OR Cotto-Manny

Two bad beatings that appeared to destroy them

Cotto then bounced back nicely and continued having a very good career

Miguel’s first fight after it was also a 154 pound debut

It took 3 light work opponents before Miguel would fight a real one again [Mayweather] where he put on a respectable performance

I would say Cotto came out worse vs Manny due to the fight getting all the way to the 12th before being stopped. Also if you look at the punch stats, Pacquiao landed a lot more power shots than Bud did.

Both were thorough but Spence wasn’t forced into a CW. Cotto was worse because he was drained and , well never mind.

We won't know until Spence fights again. He unfortunately ducked out of the fight with Manny and almost got KO'd by Ugas. He got exposed by Crawford who was always the superior boxer. The catchweight for Cotto/Manny wasn't nearly as impactful as the Floyd/Canelo catchweight. Or Floyd's catchweight for Marquez which he flat out refused to honor. Manny is a small welter. Cotto himself has enforced catchweights against Geale, Canelo and Margarito.
