  • Comments Thread For: 'A steady diet' of PBC shows on Amazon Prime to come in 2025

When Showtime Sports exited the boxing broadcast business last year, that meant Premier Boxing Champions needed a new partner for its packed stable of talented fighters. PBC announced its new deal before 2023 was over, a multi-year rights agreement with Amazon's Prime Video.

Tim Smith said “I know everybody wants to know, ‘When are the free fights?’ There is no such thing as free fights, by the way."

I guess he forgot about these shirts?????????????

No surprise. More fighter inactivity,, mismatches, and "big" fights way past their expiration date.

What "feeling-out process"? PBC on Amazon has barely had any events. Now Smith is saying we should expect non-PPV shows during the next three months. We shall see.

Why are you so invested in PBC? Very sad.

They can put some decent ppv cards on with their roster...cant deny that. But I'm not interested in watching Plant vs who cares for free.
Pretty bad if this is going to be their non ppv approach...I guess they have ef all money to make anything better.
Idk, I wish ppv was a bit more flexible for every promotion tbh. Not sure why its 79.99 or "free" by and large. There should be way more shows that cost 10 to 30 or whatevs. I would happily pay 10 every week for a good FNF card from back in the day. I am astonished pbc has not tried this. 79.99 is a big ask for a lot of folks these days, but 10 dollars is not. Even their last ppv with Davis...to me that is not worth full ppv. Remember when ppv was Oscar vs Fernando or some other big matchup? To me davis vs martin is just not anywhere near that. I'm not fuhging interested in frank martin for 79.99...or a Lhw coming out of retirement in the co-main. Gtfoh with that showcase fight bs for full price.
That being said I was quite happy to pay full price for Tsyzu vs Fundora simply because the fights were total toss ups and you could just tell it was going to be a fun card.

What are the chances that these "free fight cards" promises are just being used to give PBC guys false hopes and make them stay with PBC?

Wait I guess pbc did some cheaper shows now that I think of it...but all that I remember...like that charles martin one, were just trash. Boxers purses are out of control given public interest in the sport.
