Anderson can come again if he wants it enough. Look at Dubois, he was written off as a quitter and hype job because he was young and went in with someone who bullied him, but he's got himself together, a couple of good wins and now he's in a huge fight.

But with Dubois, boxing is his life, I don't see that level of determination in Anderson.
Anderson has some skills but there have been visible flaws. Based off his previous comments, boxing is just a means to secure he and his family's financial security. He's also shown some maturity issues.

DuBois was matched very tough early against Joyce and I thought he was doing well in that fight but his eye didn't hold up. He showed a great deal of heart in that 3 round war against Llerena. He looked good against Usyk until he was overwhelmed and frustrated.

It seems Warren has maintained some level of confidence in DuBois, I'm not sure Arum feels the same with Anderson and I wouldn't be surprised if he's let go sooner rather than later. Anderson has been critical of TR and his contract ends in 2025.

          I agree about Arum

Actually before the fight I said that aside from money, I think a big part of the reason they are letting this fight happen to see if he can sink or swim because he seems to get into a bit of trouble out the Ring and doesn't really seem that dedicated to boxing.

so I think they just threw him in the deep end and see what happens because it wouldn't have surprise me if he'd have got beaten by someone else on a lesser profile card.

I think if they had 100% confidence in what he could do in the future or his mentality, they would have navigated him away from this fight because it was a crazy bit of match making. Of course we dont want fighters to be overly protected, but he needed a couple of decent opponents to bridge the gap between where he is and who he fought last night.

bakole is a big old handful that will beat the piss out of you if you're not ready for it.

However, if they see red flags with one of their fighters it's not uncommon to see them match their prospect tough in a sink or swim fight to see if the fighter is worth investing in. They soured on Elvis Rodriguez and put him in against a very capable Kenneth Sims, Jr. Sims. He lost that fight and they parted ways.

Anderson has been talking about how he doesn't love boxing and wants to ascend to the top and retire early. For a promoter that means you get less return on your investment if he does manage to succeed. Then there's the fact that Anderson has been involved with out of the ring issues (speeding, guns, etc) and his less than impressive performances against Martin and Merhy.

Bakole's team said that nobody wanted a fight with Martin after he beat down Yoka and he was being avoided. Then Top Rank called them and offered them the Anderson fight. That's a helluva step up for Anderson, Top Rank wanted to see if it was worth investing in Big Baby. They got their answer.
Lol aww, thanks for noticing that time. You're still blind though. And this breakdown...lol I bet you're going explain why water is wet too, huh?

This is how dumb you are: Turki called Bob and asked him if Anderson would fight Bakole, gave him a good price, and Bob said f*** it. That's it. None of this elaborate crap you've thought up while working on the lunch break they deduct from your paycheck

Bob only lets his fighters step up when the judges are in his pocket, so even if the fighter loses, he still gets the decision, and Bob doesn't lose his millions of investment.

Sometimes, I worry if all that cheap PBR beer you drink killed those last two braincells, but then I thought, crap, I overcounted them anyway

I was always an Anderson guy but his remarks about the sport were always concerning. His heart never seemed to be in it. Glad that I did not bet this one. Bakole destroyed him. It's only one loss but he looks done already!

I had a feeling this would happen and bet accordingly.

You wouldn't think that a guy like Bakole would throw as many punches as he does , or be as quick as he is. His jab is a missile. Excellent win for him. Credit to Jared Anderson for willing himself back into the fight after the first round and continuing to try to win and not just survive. Bakole is a beast ,I am impressed. I wonder where he goes next ? A fight with Hunter only offers him revenge but nothing else at this point. He should be looking for fights with guys like Zhang , Parker , etc.

love Anderson attitude immediately following fight. he was over hyped and faced bad competition on ESPN. I said it many times before and I'll say now, if these fighters fail to be matched with top guys, it says a ton about what is known about them behind the curtain. so if you are 30 years old, and the best 'win' you have is a controversial decision over the overhyped Cruz. something may not be as it seems...
