My point is, one: you’re probably rather dumb; two: you’re not very funny, either.

It sure does appear that way. Lets see what happens in their next couple of fights at 175.
That said it does seem that not having the height, and weight advantages are making a big difference in their fights.

Morrell had two fights last year, lasting a total of three rounds. It’s no surprise that moving up in weight to fight a guy like Kalajdzic would not be an easy night. I don’t recall David having height or weight advantages in any of his previous fights, but he was definitely the smaller man here. Kalajdzic is two inches taller, and looks quite chiseled at 175. I agree that we should get another couple of looks at Morrell before determining where he’s at. One “unimpressive” outing doesn’t mean anything. I mean, the guy just went twelve rounds with a solid opponent in a new weight division — and won, by the way. How bad is that?

I'm saying basically the same thing that you have stated that Morrell has to fight more often to stay sharp, to stay ready.

Morrell has a few urgent things to work on , using the jab , more bodywork, head movement, footwork ,and last night at least , he was throwing one punch at a time and waiting to see the effects. Inactivity and lack of professional rounds were not his friends, they're not anyones friends. He can be a lot better than he was last night. Besides that , give some credit to Hot Rod , he's a pretty good fighter.

If you look at Morrell’s record, he basically had two fights and three rounds in about 21 months’ time. What can one expect?

I only watched highlights; but I heard those kind of reports, that David was looking for the KO. I’m sure he wanted to impress in his 175 lb debut, but that was obviously an inadvisable approach. As I said in the post above, Morrell’s inactivity had to tell. And it’s not like he was in there with a can. Kalajdzic is solid, physically and otherwise. That was not an easy out. It stands to reason that as a fighter moves up in weight, he won’t be as dominant as before. It remains to be seen how David fares at 175, but it’s possible his best weight is back at 168. The next couple of fights will show that.

Remember, there's only one guy in boxing that can win unimpressed or get a gift against a C level boxer, and still be spectacular.

This is going to be the best thing that happened to him at the new weight.
