So “super oxygenation” and Type 2B muscle fibers from sprinting and weight training? That’s the secret?

I'd have to look deeper into Contes ideas , but I do think that it's smart to use a scientific approach. One problem with that though , when you have non scientists claiming to be doing science , especially in the world of supplements and sports is that you get A LOT OF PSEUDOSCIENCE. There's tons of b.s. out there that sounds great , but has no actual evidence behind it or proof that it works besides what the guy selling it is telling you. Another issue is that I wouldn't trust Conte as far as I could throw him. I know from experience that there's no substitute for busting your ass in the gym.. Hard work , works.Comment

The hate, ridicule and contempt is heading your way very soon.
But but but … let’s just unpack this, “Conte has diligently worked to resurrect his career from the depths of a federal law enforcement raid 21 years ago on his infamous BALCO facility in the Bay Area that designed steroids and counted a litany of athletic greats including Olympic sprinters Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery, boxing champion Mosley, baseball’s home-run king Bonds and other clients.”
Why would anyone choose to work with this man? I’m not saying Bud is juicing. This guy should be banned from all sports for life and no sane athlete should be working with him.
Everything they're doing with oxygen manipulation is designed to emulate the effects of EPO. Will it be as effective? Absolutely not, but will it be effective? Certainly, and it's legal. As untrustworthy as he may be, that's all I think Conte is doing with SNAC, using his valuable expertise to enhance athletic performance within the legal constraints of the sport.
I say this because many of the high profile boxers he works with (Crawford, Haney, Mikey Garcia, Claressa Shields) show no signs of PED use. As someone who has done steroids myself, once you do, the signs become incredibly easy to spot in other people. That doesn't necessarily mean people who do not exhibit the signs are guaranteed to be clean, but it does mean that those who do exhibit the signs are guaranteed to be dirty.
Point being, I don't believe SNAC is just a front for supplying undetectible PEDs like BALCO was, so since it's allowed, top tier athletes who are able would be foolish not to make use of it.Comment

“Since I’ve been working with Terence – and this is the third fight – from the data and blood data we’ve collected, this is the best shape we’ve ever seen him,” Conte said. “I would classify it as super-human.”

Because he's the best in the business at what he does. He knows exactly what works, what doesn't and why. Should he still be allowed to work with boxers/athletes? No, probably not. But he is, therefore the best thing you can do (if you can afford it) is have a guy like this personally monitoring your data and adjusting things down to a science.

Def don't doubt he is good at what he's doing with SNAC and obvs theres a reason that these higher-paid athletes choose to work with them.

Sugar Ray Robinson didn't do any 'scientific' training like today, and he was arguably the greatest ever.
So, one can't say today's fighters are better or fitter, certainly not.
Those guys fought 15 rounds, and more going back further. Of course, today's fighters could do 15 rounds I'm sure.Last edited by Liondw; 08-03-2024, 12:01 PM.Comment

I don't go by the Alphabet belts. I know who the best fighters are in each division , the Alphabet Soups are corrupt and don't even follow their own rules half of the time.Comment

1. I've come to the realization that Bud is not black enough for the racist black dudes, and he is too black for racist white guys. This is the only possible reason I can figure that he is not universally loved. He is humble, the best fighter in the world and he KO's everyone.
2. Conte isn't a cheat anymore. But he uses his vast knowledge of physiology to get the best results. That said, conditioning isn't always the difference. I pick Bud because he has a chip on his shoulder and is out to prove he can **** anyone up. That along with his unreal boxing IQ is his biggest weapon.
3. People talking about Bud getting hit. He takes chances and goes for the KO in every fight. Unlike most guys these days who are fine with UD's and they don't care about the fans. Bud is incredible to watch.
The grief and hate he gets is just beyond me.Comment
