I hope Turki isn’t ****** enough to give Canelo record setting money to fight a guy who has never fought above 147 until this fight this weekend. Would be the dumbest waste of money ever. Hell, even for Benavidez give him 10 to 15% above his normal 35 million dollar guarantee. The fact remains fans aren’t backing the guy they way they used to as of late. Personally I’d take that 40 plus million bucks and get a bunch of #1’s and #2 ranked fighters to face each other across in their respective division. 50 million can buy a lot of good fights on one card, much better shhh than Canelo has been feeding the public while hogging the budget.

Maybe not. But, does it really matter when you can watch the fight free on live stream? One thing about true boxing fans, they are smart enough to know when they’re getting ripped off. Canelo v Crawford is a rip off and most boxing fans aren’t dumb enough to pay for that sheet. Have you ever asked yourself why do people living in America pay 4-5 times $79.95 to $99.95 for a PPV fight when every EU country pays $19.95 Euros, which is a little less than $22 dollars, and then the geniuses cry about those internet sites pirating the signal and streaming the fight live for free.

Do you really think Hearn thinks much of Berlanga? F no! But Hearn acts as a proxy for Canelo, which is why he signs Berlanga. Canelo tells Hearn sign Berlanga because that’s who I want to fight and then Hearn gets a piece of the action. I told you months ago that Canelo was fighting Berlanga, full stop. Since the Saudi’s MO is to use sports to whitewash their horrific human rights record, they would get a lot more favorable press if they did something like eliminating hunger and poverty in many third world countries to improve their image. The streaming thing is a b****, but Spence-Crawford did 700k on the strength of Spence's popularity and it only being a superfight among us purists. The casuals would eat Canelo-Crawford right up with the biggest selling point being the best Mexican fighter vs the best African American fighter on a Mexican holiday weekend. Those are 2 of the biggest fanbases, especially, in the states. 2 p4p ATGs is the kind of promotion bars charge at the door for, and you and your buddies chip in for a watch party. I hate to burst your bubble but, ever since you can livestream the fight on the internet for $0.00, the only way you can break 1M PPV these days, is if you get curiosity seekers who are not typical boxing fans who will buy the fight. Like a Mayweather v Pacquiao for example. These people don’t know about the free way.

Canelo’s PPV numbers have been in decline since he fought GGG. People are hip to Canelo fighting sure win opponents already. Now if Canelo came out his take no risk shell and fought Benevidez, different story.

Canelo v Crawford won’t get 1M buys because, folks don’t pay for boxing PPV they can livestream free on the internet.

Ticket sales for the August 3rd fight with Crawford as the headline, paying ticket buyers has gone very poorly. The fight could be sold out, over half the tickets are being given away because of the poor sales. Whoever put Crawford instead of Pitbull as the main event, was pretty dumb.

I doubt if this fight ever happens because by Bud being the naturally and much smaller fighter; He would probably demand a very stringent random drug testing protocol. Which is something that Canelo would never agree to.
