Folks can say what the want about Shakur, but what they can't say (with a straight face) is that he ducks. It takes supreme self confidence when you're willing to face all comers, especially when there's more to lose than is to gain.

We can absolutely say he ducks. He is on record ducking Haney. Could have bet on himself for one fight, taken the 25% (which is all he'd get if it went to purse bid anyways, per split rules), and been undisputed so everyone would have to come to him anyways. But no, he ducked that fight so he could fight for a vacant title, and has posted two stinkers in a row.

Great for the fighters, and the fans, a win in my book, and awesome for Shakur, he gets paid, he gets a big time fight, and he finally, can show the world he is truly for real, or he will put us all to sleep and his value will continue to plummet if he wins or not.
