Who should Benavidez fight this November/December?

Looks like his hand injuries have healed and is rumored that he is likely going to fight at the end of the year, who should he fight prior the winner of the Bivol vs Beterviev.

    There is:

-Antony Yarde (25-3, 24 KOs), two time WBO challenger.

-Albert Ramirez (18-0, 15 KOs) upcoming WBC ranked contender from Venezuela.

Joshua Buatsi (18-0, 13 KOs) upcoming light heavyweight contender that was a bronze medalist in the Olympics, beat a dangerous Craig Richards (17-2-1, 10 KOs) in 2022 and formerly undefeated Dan Azeez (20-0, 13 KOs).

Callum Smith (29-2, 21 KOs), former super middleweight champion.

Not sure if Joe Smith Jr is still contending at 175 considering his bout with Zurdo, but that also be a pretty neat match up.

David Morrell is the only answer. It’s time Benavidez stops ducking

Buatsi is fighting Hutchinson Sep 21st so that rules him out.

Yarde is in the midst of a contract dispute with Queensberry so I’d say he’s unlikely to be available anytime soon.

Callum Smith would be a good option but I’m not sure he ever fights again tbh, I think it would have to be the right type of opportunity, maybe the fact Benavidez could get him the Bivol-Beterbiev winner could be tempting enough though.

I don’t particularly rate Albert Ramirez tbh. Not much interest in that one.

The Morrell vs Kalajdzic winner would be a great option too.

Considering Morrell vs Kalajdzic is this week, it could happen if David had relatively low to no injuries.

Perhaps Marcus Browne (25-2) is also an option considering he fights under PBC?

I don't know, but I don't see Benavidez beating Yarde. I haven't watched a lot of Yarde but he was live ammo vs Beterbiev.

If Benavidez ever takes him on and wins, I'll give him those props.

I think he’s a cruiserweight now. Sure I saw him fight up at 200 lbs on a Showtime card last year.

Morrell. Those questions are to continue as long as they're both undefeated in the same division.

An opponent he can KO such that it makes a great last impression so he gets the winner of Bivol/Bieterbiev.
