Lately I’ve been thinking ever since the Spence fight people have been thinking (on a subconscious level) that every Bud fight is going to be a one-sided destruction and that he is going to look like that 85-90% of the time. Sure, his stoppages have been warranted but Porter got saved by his dad and Spence (as much as I celebrated my ass off that night) I wonder how much of it was Crawford and how much of it had to do with Errol’s inactivity and such.

With Crawford’s age, him fighting once a year, and going up in weight to fight a solid guy in Madrimov, I think Crawford will look good but absolutely nowhere near what he’s looked like in his past five fights. I think he either beats Madrimov by a competitive UD (116-112) or if it gets worse (for him) a majority decision.

I hope I’m wrong but I think back that Crawford was down on the cards after the first four rounds against Gamboa (I know, I know…it was 10 years ago) and the Porter fight was competitive up until the very end when he started scoring knockdowns.

I’m intrigued by the match-up but the more I think about it, the more I start to think that Crawford going up to 168 after ONE audition at 154—not BORDERING on suicidal—IS suicidal.

But him beating Canelo would be among the sport’s greatest achievements in history. Sucks Canelo got stripped. Part of the intrigue was to see if Crawford could be three time undisputed. Beating Canelo at this juncture would mean he would be sort of in the same boat as Claressa Shields (two weight undisputed, unified in a third).
Well obviously we won’t know until it all happens
I think he won’t have problems with Madrimov besides having to adjust
And I’m a firm believer he beats this version of Canelo

That’s great. I would prefer he make the monster offer for Benavidez but I get how the sport operates.

I will buy it if it happens.

Turki is also apparently making offers like "Inoue needs to come up 3 divisions and knock Tank out in 4 mins and I'll give him hundreds of millions." Give me a break. He's the one coming up 3 divisions. Makes his offers look suspect.

Not interested. Another circus fight that no one is asking for other than Bud.

I rather see him fight Benavidez or Benavidez fight the winner of Bivol/Beterbiev

Nobody knows how Bud is going to look in his next fight. A long layoff at an older age, he is going to have to perform spectacularly to convert some viewers.

Nobody asking to see Benny get dismantled by Artur or Bivol either

how many fights would T-Bud have between Aug 3rd and Alvarez to ready himself for 168 from 154

                  Why not

                  Amir did alright VS Alvarez

                  Floyd 12-0’d him

Benavidez is put on such a high pedestal that people think that after one fight at 175 he actually has a shot against two long time elite light heavyweights that are a class entirely apart from the rest of the division. Beterbiev rocks him and beats him up and Bivol outboxes him 9-3 across the cards.

Well, technically he WAS. He was up on two of the scorecards if I’m not mistaken but the script called for him to get tagged at some point and he came through. I never liked Amir Khan, but he was always so thirsty to prove himself that his confidence just made him narcissistic and arrogant. Saw Kell Brook getting whooped by GGG and thought, “you know what?” I need to take a page out of his book but actually win the fight. And he got iced. His speed was working, but Alvarez was a tank compared to him and that chin of Amir was always shabby to begin with.
