uh, there's a small difference though. something you might have overlooked, perhaps... cotto has already proven himself. vargas failed to do so.

now, it's the other way around. pacquiao has not proven himself in the ww division yet and sadly he will get eaten alive by the first lion he's been thrown to. miguel cotto. little manny will not be able to take the power of a natural ww. we'll see if he proves me wrong, but i don't think he's talented or good enough.

Cotto definately better than Vargas, Vargas lost important fight with De La Hoya and was caught cheating. Vargas late in his career was just crap.

Cotto's got 1 loss that is questionable due to the circumstances of that particular fighter. the majority of fights people picked him to lose he actually won. Vargas was a dude who always blew the big one (i.e. Oscar, Mosley twice, Mayorga, Tito).

You are a complete moron,Vargas was washed up and weight drained by the time Mosley got him and even then Mosley struggled badly against him in their first fight and in their second fight,Vargas had to kill himself to make weight,Mayorga doesn't need any explaining and only newbs such as yourself believe that it counted for anything.

A prime Trinidad got taken to hell and back against a 22 year old Vargas who had just twenty professional bout and god knows how long it took for Oscar to fight Vargas.

cotto has fought top competition and has come out victorious, his only defeat has a huge asterisk on it. the fighter being a guy who got suspended a year for attempted cheating. on the other, vargas failed against all the top competition. how is it not a valid point? you're an idiot lol.

Well Vargas got his brain beat in. Cotto was hurt a few times in the fight, but the "brutality" of it was more his facial wounds than his brain damage. Whereas Vargas got knocked ****** in the opening minute and continued to take brutal shots.

He fought a monster in Tito. Quartey wasn't really a killer at 154, and Winky is not a big puncher. Winky also beat him, clearly imo. Yes he fought very good fighters young though, including Lopez.
