His catastrophic bull**** reign towards the end of his career, will follow him long after he has retired from the sport.

Canelo wants some things that he's not deserving of, or entitled to 1. retaining his belts without fighting his mandatory challenger,
    2. big money for small fights, 3. cherry picking his opponent's in order to extend his career.
If he want's to extend his career through cherry picking who he wants to fight, he can't be allowed to do so as champion.

And how else are you supposed to entice someone who is ****** rich to do something they don't feel like doing even after they've been insulted?

My barista won't even serve me coffee if I say something out the way. I'd have to apologize, tell her she's beautiful even if she's fugly, and still hope she doesn't spit in it when I'm not looking.

Benavidez won't beat either fighter, Beterbiev stops him early, and bivol humiliates him for the full 12

I probably wouldn't bet the house on him beating a Yarde or Buatsi either

            • Canelo is the undisputed champion, 6th in the 4-belt era and 1st in Mexico, beaten and taken the 0s of future HOFers, has the best resume in boxing (alongside Usyk), and at one point was considered the best p4p boxer on the planet.

Not fighting Benavidez, whose about to get exposed at 175, won't hurt his legacy any more than beating him would help it.

              • To all the whiners and moaners, just dont watch the fight simple as that, its just one fight no reason to make it a big deal , do as I and watch Ufc 306 that night ,canelo-berlanga ppv will probably flock and the ginger will have to reconsider his choice of opponent for the next one.

If you dont like it just dont watch. Dont complicate yourself.

Salka is the type of fighter that Berlanga would've KO'ed in one round. The catchweight didn't even benefit Salka. Salka was taking a high-risk for no reward because no titles were on the line. Berlanga is a natural SMW with a puncher's chance.

I wasn't comparing Salka to Berlanga. I was making a point about the Lara-Garcia fight actually being for a belt and how it rightfully wasn't available earlier in Danny's career for a non-ranked opponent.

                    Be respectful
You CANNOT rehydrate to more than him
You CANNOT be a "horrible fighter"
You CANNOT be Mexican (or you can be - it depends what side of the bed Canelo gets up from in the morning)
You have to have fought "with somebody"

You are more likely to earn a Canelo fight if:

                    You campaign at 147lbs
                    You campaign at 154lbs
You've been at 168lbs for a short amount of time
                    You're a limited mandatory challenger
                    You're a limited unbeaten contender
You're 36 years of age or over

You absolutely, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES will not earn a fight with Canelo if:

                    Your name is David Benavidez
                    Your name is Dmitry Bivol
Your name is David Morrell Jr
It's much simpler than that. I can't find the original post, but it's

                    a) fights that add to his legacy
                    b) fights that make a lot of money
                    c) fights that are relatively easy nights at the office

If you don't meet these criteria, there's no career-high life-changing payday courtesy of the cinnamon-haired cash king

And he fought Bivol already. He was way too big. No credit for daring-to-be-great but all this flack for not fighting a c***head?
