Now that sadly Benavidez and Morrell are no longer options, what options does Canelo have left outside Mbilli after maneuvering his way out of those fights?

Morrell was NEVER an option. Morrell can't even get Benavidez in the ring, he never had a realistic chance in getting Canelo.

I suppose there needs to be an even worse fight in the same card to make Canelo vs Berlanga look good in comparison.

The odd thing is that actually think Lara vs DSG is more competitive, with the heavily declined Cuban having good odds of beating the inactive and quite physically smaller Garcia.

PBC seems to have been waiting to put Lara/Garcia on a PPV undercard because they know it can't headline its own event.

PBC is actually relying on Canelo to put events now. First it was Munguia (GBP) in May, and now Berlanga (Matchroom) in September. They can't even get Canelo to fight someone from their own stable!

Last I heard, those guys were actually world champions at some point in their careers. Ortiz and Guerrero were champions when they fought Floyd. Don’t consider any of the 3 to be the highest caliber option, but all 3 had careers significantly better than a 0 time world champion who has never even defeated a former champion.
