'Shakur Stevenson-Gervonta Davis can't get any riper'
I'm starting to really love the BoxingScene headlines.
This one is particularly good.
"Ripe" is what I use when I want to describe the odor of my son's crap-laden diaper.

Shakur will think that he is valued more than what people will pay to see him fight. Tank either will go with another popular fighter or a fighter that won't command a high purse but still has somewhat of a name or career.
Shakur has skills but is yet to impress the masses.Leave a comment:

Shakur will have to accept being the B-side and it's hard to imagine that mentally he can handle that.
The boss move would be to let Tank drive the negotiation as the A-side then Shakur go in there and box his ears off and show us all that he's really the one. (I know thats super unrealistic).
+ Winner of this fight has another big night on deck with Loma. Zepeda etc. still there as well.
Hope they can go ahead and get this one made. It's either Shakur wins in a possibly boring clinic or Tank catches him and it gets very interesting.Leave a comment:

Tank has done more, has been a champion for years, and deserves more $. If Shakur wants to be seen as the best, he should accept a lower percentage. How much less is up to the people involved. Maybe 60 Tank 40 Shakur?Leave a comment:

This is just an example how Shakur has been acting lately...I’m glad everyone sees that the real risk to this fight being made is the high probability that Shakur will price himself out of the fight. Whenever that “if the money is right” talk comes out we are literally being told “I might duck this fight because it’s soo much of a risk unless I get paid millions that will equate to a financial loss to someone.” Hopefully the pbc people negotiate in percentages rather than flat fees.
Cam’ron, Ma$e Respond To J. Prince’s Hostile Comments Amid Shakur Stevenson Beef
Cam'ron and Ma$e respond to seemingly threatening comments from J. Prince amid the 'It Is What It Is' co-hosts' beef with Shakur Stevenson.
This is not a good look! It does help ticket sales if Tank fights him, but things could get ugly QUICKLY!!!

The way Shakur has been acting after his last fight is crazy! Threatening celebrities, having J-Prince sending out threats, I'm not sure if he understands what he's doing? The last thing he should be doing is to try to "strong arm" Tank, in the ring, nor outside the ring! He has to realize Tank has options, with Pitbull and Zepeda! Mexican fans don't walk out in the 11th round!

Shakur Stevenson even priced himself out against Devin Haney once he held all the belts at 135 before moving up to 140.

However it is not Shakur’s move to make. He doesn’t generate enough money in the sport to call any shots.
As we speak; Stevenson is a price taker not a price maker. So if his team is smart enough.
They will take whatever offer that Team Davis is offering them or there will be no fight at all.
Haney did and look what happened to him. He became the first undisputed lightweight champion of the world in the four belt era.Leave a comment:
