Comments Thread For: 'Perfectly prepared' Jose Valenzuela intends to shock Isaac 'Pitbull' Cruz

It was a hastily made fight, the opponent invited on the heels of two losses in his last three fights, including a knockout defeat. Maybe that's all anyone making matches for new WBA 140-pound champion Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz needs to know, considering the popular Mexican's penchant for unleashing hellacious punches that only the most granite of chins can withstand.

He has a nice feel good story, and the full circle thing is cool, but he has one tough customer in front of him, in Pitbull. Pitbull is well conditioned and tough, compact, hard to hit clean, and punches hard. If you can't hurt him or make him go backwards, it's a long night for anyone

I'm picking Valenzuela to pull the upset here, for some reason. Cruz is tough, but I see Valenzuela emerging as the winner in a cracking fight.

Put some money on Rayo at +350. Those odds were way to wide not to.

I don’t think Rayo hits hard enough to keep Cruz off of him. Eventually he’ll wear down and get caught and probably stopped

It’s heart breaking to read up on boxer’s backstory, their struggles and their family situation, because, unfortunately for Valenzuela, Cruz has also being improving. He looks like a motherf###er right about now and is not sleeping on Valenzuela.

Pitbull is gonna walk through him if the best David had to box to control him

This one looks promising, 2 mexicans going at it, what possibly go wrong?!

By the way, apperantly, Chris Colbert put on a rehydration clause in the rematch against Rayo. He is likely to perform better than he did in his previous bout.
