It's funny how my thoughts on Jake Paul seem to vary from fight to fight. On one hand, I didn't mind him KOing some of the MMA guys that came over, though on the other hand, him as a fighter, by not facing boxers, what in the hell are you doing? Proving that you can beat MMA guys that can't box for **** with the whole reason you're picking them is because you already know that? They're literally going into these fights with handicaps.

If anything it proves how horrendous MMA fighters are in boxing. Mike Perry looked beyond amateur. I think kids at 9-10 years old boxing show better technique. So that being said, it's not that Jake Paul is that good either at boxing, though he has enough fundamentals to prove how horrendous these MMA guys are at boxing.

Jake's definitely picking and choosing based on who can help bring in $$$ being a decent dance partner, and obviously who has little chance to compete back with him at the boxing level. One of them mentioned in the article that he lost to Tommy Fury and Tommy Fury isn't even that good of a boxer. That pretty much sums up Jake's level in boxing.

My sister-in-law knows Perry and said he did not train at all for boxing. Like. Nothing.

It was a cash grab from him and Jake Paul nothing more.

There was no competitive element to it at all.

That means he's in it for the short game. Not the long game.

He didn't want to pay for a full camp.

        He wanted all the money.

Not sure if smart move or dumb. I guess we'll find out in near future.

Jake Paul will be the hardest puncher Chavez Jr has faced.

He's going to 1 punch KO Chavez Jr

is boxing the only sport that when a boxer decline, an average person can be competitive against the boxer in a fight??

what I saw from chavez jr was unacceptable!!! why wasnt a pro boxer able to do more to a washed up UFC fighter in a boxing match??

Well, he was a washed up pro boxer who let's face it, wasn't even that good as a pro. The only reason he nearly KO'd Martinez in the final rd was because of the weight advantage he put on for that fight. In fact he did outweigh most of his mediocre opponents when he was up and coming. The second he faced dudes more of his weight, he had trouble (got stopped). Canelo being the exception because even a smaller Canelo at that time could easily outbox mediocre Chavez Jr.

Chavez Jr has a very big head and is hard to KO. If he shows up in any kind of shape he’ll go the distance.

he's still a pro boxer fighting an MMA fighter who wasnt even good at striking when he was fighting in the UFC... hall is not even known as a boxer or have heavy hands. it wasnt like chavez jr was fighting a good mma striker... chavez jr should have at least stop him. if anything, it looked like Jr. didnt win the fight imo...

Well, Chavez Jr. has been a trash boxer who has been out of it for 3 years. Perhaps ring rust on top of his mediocre ability led to the results.

yes, but like i said he was fighting a trash fighter too!!! a mma fighter who wasnt even known as a good striker plus hall hasnt been active either...

it seems like boxing is the easiest sport to pick up and be competitive.... look at jake paul who has no fighting experience until a few years ago when he decided to start training boxing... he's been beating up guys who has 20+ years of fighting experience... yeah. those guys are washed up but they have 20+ years or so of experience and jake just barely started boxing.
