Claressa defending Shakur because people are mean to him? Shakur always insults his opponents saying he will beat the S out of them, so let's not get carried away.

RJJ gave him good advice, in the Stephen Jackson interview, and Jackson didn't disrespect Shakur, but Shakur acknowledges RJJ crtitcism as "good," then calls Jackson as "Goof!" C'mon Fam, not a good look! Just keep winning! However, if want to be on Tank's level financially, you have to make an adjustment! If you want to be the next Mayweather, you have to make them miss, AND MAKE THEM PAY!!! You don't need a KO, but you have to let your hands go!

I like Claressa. She's defending her lil bro and that says a lot about her. I like Shakur, but I understand the criticism too. I wouldn't say it only comes from Tank fans, and I wouldn't compare it to Mayweather criticism. Young Mayweather was elusive, but he put hands on people. I don't think fans wanna see Shakur brawling and getting hit, they just wanna see him make guys pay something everytime they miss, put hands on guys, hurt them, get them outta there. I think fans see he has the ability to do that, but in many cases, he won't pull the trigger, and it's frustrating to watch that, round after round. It feels like you're watching slap boxing,. I think Shakur can continue to improve, but he's not the next Mayweather, Pernell, etc. He has his own style and it's more defensive than those guys. Pernell had better defense than anyone but he beat you up too. No one can never be another Pernell, period. I feel like Shakur is extra defensive because mentally he has some doubts about himself, and he knows he isn't fully mature yet, and that if he gets clipped too hard, it can mess him up. I think he should continue on being defensive and at the same time, work hard in the gym to improve all areas of his game, especially conditioning, so that when he does turn up offensively, his punch selection and distance will be perfected, and he'll have the confidence to set these guys up, break them down and knock them outLast edited by archiemoore1; 07-23-2024, 08:36 AM.

Gone are the percentages. Whatever promotional outfit that Stevenson finally decides to sign with;
Then they must come up with a very large and sizable guarantee in order to get Tank inside of a boxing ring with Shakur.
It’s because not only he is too risky for Tank but he is also a very bad style match up for Gervonta too. Who is used to fighting guys he can find and hit.
Davis is not used to guys fighting him from longe range or from a distance like Shakur Stevenson would.
