Comments Thread For: Derek Chisora, Father Time and me

The first time I was ringside for a Derek Chisora contest was on May 15, 2010, when he drubbed the remnants of Danny Williams in four minutes and 41 seconds to win the British heavyweight title on a sunny evening at Upton Park, the home of West Ham United, in east London.

The between-rounds replays will look like frozen pictures in this fight.

Easy fight for Joyce. I don't get how they can sell this fight?? It's just watching Chisora get beat up. He should have retired 2 fights ago

Joe should win easily, but who knows..Chisora can surprise us, he beat Parker in the first fight IMO. But it is a big question how much he has left. Probably not much.

2 fights ago is generous, he should of retired years ago. he's slurring so bad now its painful to hear. but then Joyce looked real bad in his last fight, there is a real chance that he could be shot after his granite chin got cracked by the chinaman.

Exactly what I myself think. It all comes down to which of the two is more shot.

Kash Ali gave Joyce trouble because of his movement - Chisora presents a different problem - those long looping power shots - if he connects it could be all over - I'm thinking Joe's chin is cracked.
But Joyce can win this jabbing and moving, occasional one two and then unload when inevitably Chisora retreats to the ropes as the rounds pass.

                  Or a sloppy split decision.

your question is the answer to how they can sell this fight. a guy with a big attitude and a slight chance always sells well when put in the right spot at the right time in boxing. And besides look at what they sell now a days in boxing on PPV get a story make a story pump it up, ignore the truth stay tough and you got another fight to sell............people will watch just to see if this is the final blow to the head called boxing ghouls i wont pay but i will watch it could be a slaughter...........
