If DLH still promoted Canelo, we both know he wouldn't be saying any of this. DLH may have a point, but he's also being manipulative. WBC should be ordering Shakur/Zepeda AND Canelo/Benavidez. But these two situations have no connection. DLH doesn't mind that Canelo gets preferential treatment; he's just mad that Zepeda isn't. DLH wants Zepeda to be allowed to sit on his ranking, while Shakur is forced to wait until GBP decides what they want to do. DLH is saying that he's in a powerful position, yet he's behaving like a victim. If Zepeda has all of these options, then stop complaining and go after another titlist.

Promoters don't throw darts because they are all compromised. All of the big promotional outfits have benefitted from the sanctioning bodies, at one point or another. I'm sure someone could compile a list for GBP. DLH is being hypocritical because it benefits him. It should be this simple: if Zepeda won't fight Shakur, then penalize him and let's move on.

Great post! One day ODLH says, “We need to make the best fights, promoters need to work together!” Next day, “If Shakur doesn’t sign to GBP, he’s not getting Zepeda!” That’s very hypocritical!

He didn't even do that! He name drops Shakur for Zepeda's last 2 fights, then SWERVES him! Then it's "Sign with us, or no fight!" ODLH is a hypocrite, and his support of Ryan's actions, including missing weight, and PED use, is disgusting!

As a man, I can't listen to Oscar rant, because of his history with fish net stockings and high heel pumps. I can't un- see that photo of him. When I 1st saw it, I tried to gouge my own eyes out, but my friends stopped me. I also can't listen to Oscar because even though he speaks truth at times, he's totally fake especially when it comes to cryin', lyin', racist Ryan. Oscsr can't talk honestly about what a dirt bag Ryan is. But if Ryan was a PBC fighter, Oscar would have a lot to say about it

Did they penalize Shakur for not facing Haney for 25% of the pot? Shakur ducked Haney or nah?

Zepeda will not take 15% of the pot against anyone, he is the mandatory for all four sanctioning bodies which means he can choose whatever he wants to do.. the WBC can move on.

If this fight successfully goes to purse bid and Team Zepeda pulls out, then Zepeda should be bumped down the rankings. I think that should be standard practice, or else fighters will sit on rankings until it benefits them. I have no issue with Zepeda going another path; let him go beat on Berinchyk. But, it's clear to me what DLH is trying to do.

I pretty sure Santioning bodies have Benfited from Promotional companies like WBO from Top Rank and the WBA from PBC. It works both ways. Sanctioning bodies don't get payed without a promoter making the fights. Promoters are Making the money, Sanctioning bodies charge a Sanctioning Fee.
