Brutal stoppage of Rodriguez by Tenshin. Kid's shaping into a decent boxer.

edpboxing must be asleep or something. I would have put a thread up for the card myself but I'm otherwise occupied - just dipping in and out.

EDIT: oops, my bad. Thread had slipped to page 2. Sorry for doubting you edp!

How do you even become a champion by fighting for a vacate title. You become a champion by beating a champion.

            Good point.

            But Olascuaga is no joke.

Fast , good reflexes and hits like a Middleweight.

Even in the Amateurs " Princessa " was KOing elite fighters.

Fighting at home? Setting up cheap imports? Cherry picking gone wrong. Lots of ways.

This is why you have to look at the context. Was the champ they won the belt from a titlist who got it in a vacant belt or a secondary titlist who got elevated? How many defenses did they make? Personally, I think a titlist who won a vacant belt or got elevated doesn't really become champ until they defend it, unless they won it against a top ranked contender with the former champ having moved on.
