Alvarez doesn’t want the smoke, any defense or excuse at this point doesn’t fly. It’s ok to say he’s up there in age and declining and it’s a bridge too far for him, but all this bullshhh about the guy not deserving the fight is bih azz dude stuff. Seriously. Man doesn’t want the smoke and that’s ok.

Why keep fighting at all then ? Apply that same logic to any competitor and Canelo might as well retire. What did Ryder bring to the table , or Mungia , or anyone else for that matter ?
When you don't want to fight a guy , the excuses are endless. When you do want the fight , nothing will stop it. Funny how that works ,isn't it ?Comment

Canelo is not ducking Benavidez..Canelo doesn't want Benavidez making one dollar out of him, period.Comment

Here's a novel idea, if you don't like someone, beat the **** out of that person and be paid very well for doing so.
But that's not what's happening here. Alvarez is absolutely terrified of losing to this guy.Comment

Look I get where you are coming from, competitors should compete, warriors should right, but in boxing, it's not so simple. Canelo is on a retirement tour RIGHT NOW, why would he do anything other that what he wants? He owes us nothing, all of this crying about who he fights, or doesn't fight, is only emboldening a proud champion like Canelo to essentially say "Screw all of you, if you don't like it, don't watch"
If he wants to do that, it's cool. I'm not going to watch it though. Yeah right, I always say that , then I watch the fights anyway. I'm a junkie . Boxing has me hooked . Always has , always will.Comment
