As funny as that is, I believe NFL and NBA players are superior athletes then any kind of fighter. With some kind of training they could hold there own, not saying the would beat up a professional fighter though. It takes a certain natural ability to fight, more of an instinct then anything.

Superior to professional boxers? The conditioning and training that fighters go through, makes training camp for pro ball players look like a day care center.

Hell, gymnasts train harder than pro ball players do, though I will say that in the last 20 years or so, training camp has gotten a bit tougher for ball players.
