Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Jr. tells Stevenson 'good riddance,' says Shakur's value is at $2M per fight like him

Both fighters got lay ups on showcase fights to look good and both crapped the bed. What a letdown from two possible P4P fighters.

Top Rank always been cheap and they don’t even put on big events anymore unless somebody is footing the bill but both these knuckle heads gave Arum an excuse and validation to give them low ball offers.

online reports suggest teo made more than that for his ortiz fight

if u fight clagetts u should expect a drop from that i would have thought

teo fills a 5k stadium and shakurs fans are walking out

        takeover v walkout

        who wins?

I'm curious on Shakurs next move as he denied $15M - 5 fights.

Which promotion will pay him more?

Him and Teo will start making UFC money soon.

Then the you should offer Shakur the fight and see if he accepts.

Shakur's biggest money option is Tank Davis, which should net him more than $3 million for a single fight. Whether he gets that fight is no sure thing. I think Tank vs Loma is a bigger money fight.

Shakur has to secure a solid fight and win, big purses will follow. The issue is who is going to finance it if he is a free agent.

This was the same issue Crawford had, he was getting overpaid for fighting b & c grade opposition under top rank, when he finally left he was extremely difficult to negotiate with as he believed he was worth more then he was. Fair play to shaqur for leaving that kinda guaranteed money to chase the big fights, but i strongly doubt he will be making that kinda money unless hes getting in with, tank, loma, haney.
