Comments Thread For: Vasiliy Lomachenko to 'step aside' so Gervonta Davis can fight Shakur Stevenson

You know, I somehow just don’t see it happening. I just don’t see how it makes business sense for Tank, on a 50/50 chance of winning, unless Shakur is prepared to take 20 percent of the purse (who knows, maybe he is). The fight itself is more appealing than Tank-Martin, but would they be able to do a Benavidez undercard?

Hold up! So because Tank has a 50/50 chance of winning, it does not make business sense BUT BUT if Shakur accepts 20% of the purse then that’s ok because if Tank gets beat, he at least gets paid 80% of the purse.
You are acknowledging that Tank can get beat but to feel good about it, he has to price himself out of the fight by offering Shakur 20%.
I’m not criticizing you. This is the reality of boxing. Guys like Tank and Canelo are literally ducking heavy smoke by asking for astronomical purse.

Good, let Shakur put his big talk on the line. Loma can fight the winner. It will be a bigger fight.

So Lomachenko swerved Shakur Stevenson for Kambosos and now is going to “step aside” from fighting Tank?
