Incorrect report on the undercard bout. Tsutsumi stopped the Thai in round 4, not round 10.

Road warriors rule. No disrespect, but Japan is a hard out. Winning a decision there, even vs a jaded Ioka is still a monumental feat.

            Great win for Argentinian.

Him vs Bam is obviously the best fight in division.

I do think Bam wins that as Martinez is just too wild - but I try to enjoy the moment. In boxing there's a too much focus on 'what's next' - bit like finishing a good lunch and immediately asking whats for dinner.

On the other hand, I can sympathise a little with that because the wheel of boxing spins ridiculously slow, everything takes too long to play out - multiples of years instead of multiples of months.
Argentina vs. Mexico is enticing. Lots of national pride.

Went exactly as I expected, Martinez is a young, punch machine and Ioka, while a great HOF'er has been slowly fading for years now but has survived on careful matchmaking. Bam vs Martinez is clearly the best fight at 115 and hopefully can be made next. I'm worried Estrada will enact his rematch, which I can't see him winning or even faring better, but if he does, then hopefully we can get Martinez to take the other belt from Tanaka. What I'd really like to see is a send off fight between Ioka and Estrada, would still be epic for NYE in Japan.

That card was beyond belief indeed, the epitome of incompetence for a boxing judge. I mean, the guy saw a shutout in a FOTY candidate.

Hasn't Ioka/Estrada been on the table before? Estrada will want a rematch (and the nice purse) over an title-less fight where he'll have to travel.
