And even before the talk of Oscar Valdez was in the air, the Bobfather was proposing preliminary fights like staging Valdez vs Navarette winner vs the winner of Stevenson vs Berchelt, who Valdez already KO'd. See how protective the Bobfather was to him? Valdez was getting the harder fight in the interim. It never happened. I don't know the reason.

Idk how true this is, but I'm su****ious about his chin also.
Bivol is another one. We know his chin is at least average but is it iron
maybe the best defense guys get underrated in chin because they’re rarely tested. We saw this with Floyd. Who turned out to be iron chin hero

Responding to your post isn’t getting defensive. I am asking his promoter do the job for him as he has done for others he promotes.
He Sure did hurt Valdez and was entertaining. Again matchmaking. Put him in with Loma. He likely gets an accumulation KO.
Entertainment can be manufactured by the promoter. That was my point about the guy Davis fought last night.
Switch the opponents up for Davis and Shakur and we’d have had 2 straight hours of entertainment rather than a sh-tshow and a sleep inducer.
Lol at blaming promoters for not having a punch and carrying B/C level dudes to 12 rounds..
Tank fought the same type of guys he's fighting but he putting them out and that's why he's where he's at. So did Ryan.. His own people was booing and walked out on him lol.
Shakur is the American Rigondeaux. Skilled defensive boxer but ZERO entertainment value.Last edited by johncods; 07-07-2024, 10:15 PM.BoxingIsGreat likes this.

Yes, Floyd wasn’t highly entertaining offensively, but what really separated him was his unique ability to effortlessly and effectively transition from offense to defense and vice versa, the ability to create openings by baiting his opponent to do exactly what he wanted them to do and then capitalized by countering them. Shakur doesn’t have that, he’s either too defensively minded, or he’s very basic with his offense with no creativity, he can’t really transition as smoothly and effortlessly as Floyd did. Put some ****ing resPEK on Floyd’s name!
On top of that, Mayweather came through big in a lot of his fights, offensively. While not getting hit, he showed both sides for a long time. He was a very balanced fighter, the perfect fighter. That’s where his old fans come from.
Of course when you fight bigger opponents and don’t kill yourself to make weight like everyone else, your power will hit different. But Shakur hasn’t built that fanbase up like Mayweather did. He was a very exciting fighter to watch. And regardless of weight, look at his Hatton, Mosley, Ortiz, Judah, and Cotto fights. He showed a lot of aggressive even at 147-154.Brother Mouzone
