Shakur is boring and that's just what it is.

Man, stop with the Floyd comparison. Even an older version of Floyd was more exciting than Shakur. Some of you guys let y’all personal hatred get in the way of how you see certain boxers. Yes, Floyd wasn’t highly entertaining offensively, but what really separated him was his unique ability to effortlessly and effectively transition from offense to defense and vice versa, the ability to create openings by baiting his opponent to do exactly what he wanted them to do and then capitalized by countering them. Shakur doesn’t have that, he’s either too defensively minded, or he’s very basic with his offense with no creativity, he can’t really transition as smoothly and effortlessly as Floyd did. Put some ****ing resPEK on Floyd’s name!Last edited by Carpe Diem; 07-07-2024, 10:22 AM.Comment

He's just dumb as rocks and no self awareness.Boxers doing everything within the rules of boxing to win is fully allowed so good for him. However Shakur needs to get it through his head that if he also want the cash, he needs to make himself a high reward target. The more he talks, the more it is proving that refusing a 25 pay for Haney was pure ******ity on his side.
If he was the boring, featherfisted undisputed lightweight champ right now he would still have multiple top opponent lined up to fight him and he would be the A-side as the champ with all the belts.
Instead he is a boring, featherfisted lightweight single belt holder who is a high risk low reward that others don't see a merit in fighting. People would rather fight Tank for the money or Loma for the name and legacy for the high risk single belt, or go for Berinchyk if they want a low risk single belt.
The results aside, Haney got Loma, Prograis, and Garcia essentially off having been "undisputed lightweight champ" in a span of a year while Shakur had DLR and Artem Har-something. Shakur could've gotten Haney last fall, Loma this spring, then maybe possibly Zepeda or even a stay busy with Martin while egging Tank.

Lol buddy have you not watched Shakurs fights? You put a guy who comes forward and he will run away.. lol Guy just has ZERO power and ZERO dawg in him.
Isn’t that what a promoter is truly for- matchmaking properly to build interest in a boxer?
Had Bob put him in with Valdez and Loma earlier, he’d have looked dynamic in big wins. Bob protected them and instead fed a string of low reward, high risk bums to Shakur. He did Shakur no favors.
Just look at who he put Davis in with tonight. That guy constantly coming forward and Shakur would look absolutely dynamic.
Instead he puts him in with Davis where it becomes a foul filled disgrace of a sh-tshow.Comment

Lol stop it. Floyd didn’t fight like that til he was in his 4th weight class and he was much more entertaining to watch than shakur. It’s not like he’s fighting the best of the best and schooling them.
even RIGO has a higher ko% than shakur

to me the ugliest fooking style is a sloppy guy who misses a lot and rarely lands cleanly but throws a lot
Shawn Porter
or a super negative style that cancels out fighting
Sergio Mora
Shakur is alright. He’s accurate, throws combinations, fights inside, and sliqueComment

Shakur could have fought Josh Warrington but didn't. It would have raised his profile. That's not on Bob either. Madueno is Jezreel Corrales leftovers and wasn't really a good opponent for either.
