    good defense influences better offense!
i don't think the rules need to change..
i think a good fighter has to gameplan an offense that beats shakur's defense.
he's not cheating in any way.
there's always a gameplan to beat an opponent.
Right now, there's tank and loma, who people consider high IQ fighters.
if they can't beat him, then nobody at this weight will..

But i'd like to see the pitbull Cruz thrown in there with him!

I'm not completely shitting on Stevenson's performance tonight. He won wide.

But I'm going to repeat what I said in the fight thread.

You call this a "masterclass", but you got to look at the level of opponent.

Sorry, but you can't be one of the "faces" of the sport if you can't put on a show against somebody that gave Frank Martin "problems".

Pretty sure he said that about Shakur lol

He’s landing more than his opponents, which is why he’s undefeated! Artem started out aggressive, then let Shakur walk him down for half the fight! You can’t do that with Shakur! Zepeda will be a great test for Shakur, if he grows some balls!

In your opinion, too many fighters make the sport boring. Basically you're asking the sport to change it's name from "boxing" to "knockout".
No, I'm stating that casual fans aren't appreciating Shakur and find him boring; I think he's fabulous. The new rules would keep casual fans in their seats instead of leaving before a fight ends.

Yes he lands more than his opponents, and he wins on points, in the ugliest manner possible.
That's the point you're obviously missing, he's an albatross (burden) to watch ply his trade in the ring.

Because he's actually talented & can make millions AND leave without his brain being scrambled.

If your favorite fighters could win fights without getting hit, they'd do it too

I'm not missing anything! Shakur is not a power puncher, I get it! However, his defensive prowess makes him an elite fighter! Rigondeaux was an elite fighter too! So was Lara! Everyone has they're own taste!

Everyone has their own taste, but it seems to me that many subscribers on this platform just don't care for Shakur's fighting style.
There have been many fighters throughout the history of boxing who couldn't punch, but were still exciting to watch.
Shakur Stevenson is supremely boring to watch, he must've gotten clipped really good along the way, because he doesn't like the taste of leather at all.
Calling Shakur an elite fighter is a misnomer, an elite boxer yes, but even more appropriate would be to call him a boring as hell elite boxer.

OK, elite boxer! I'm good with that, because that's the name of the sport...BOXING!!!
