The only Shields fight that mattered and made money was Marshall. If it was so easy why not run it back? Instead she ran away from Marshall rematch. Floyd is still dodging Pac 2. Pavilik didn't want a rematch with Hopkins.

She could run it back. It’d probably the same exact result which is why it’s hard to give her flack for it if she she just opts to not even worry about it.

You know WHO should be running it back? Alycia Baumgardner against Mikaela Mayer. A razor thin split decision win for Baumgardner and she acted as if that’s a closed case. THAT warrants a rematch. Claressa/Marshall…eeeeehhhhhh. I dunno. That doesn’t exactly move the needle for me. Claressa’s screwed either way. She hasn’t got a single threat to her in ANY WEIGHT CLASS. Sorry, I meant to say nobody cares a whisker about Shields. I find women's boxing to be awfully boring but tho at fight and the mind games before it arrested my attention. Shields didn't want to face SM but was forced into it by SM's taunting. The pre fight hype was awesome and better than most male superfights actually. The clash of egos and personalities made the fight special, I loved it. Rematch needed and SM wanted it but Shields did not, it was too much stress for her and made her look bad. SM lost the fight but won the event. Like Vitali lost to Lennox but he won the event.
