Stevenson needs to be wise this weekend. Casuals call him a runner. It's called the art of boxing, not the art of knockout. Stevenson is a great talent and he wins in different ways. I hope he doesn't try to win in a way that only pleases casual boxing fans. I hope he tries to win in a fashion that the fight dictates.
Stevenson is stating that his star is rising slowly. The fact of the matter is he really doesn't have that many fights under his belt. He's not White, so he won't be a star overnight. He doesn't have the complexion for the protection. He is finally on the cusp of landing the big fights. Hopefully, he'll makes the most of these matchups.

Floyd nor, nor Canelo, nor Tank became household names overnight.

I'm not a fan of Top Rank but I think they do a pretty decent job of developing and promoting their fighters to a certain point. Unlike other promotional banners, they have a dedicated broadcast partner in ESPN that works in conjunction with Bob to hype their fighters.

Shakur has had more than one fight where he looked less than exciting. He hasn't really established his persona to the masses and hasn't displayed the type of charisma that can overcome boring performances in the ring.

I like Shakur and think he's skilled. If he feels Top Rank has stymied his career, he should test his market value but he may be disappointed at the result.

Oscar, Floyd, Cotto, Mikey, Pacquiao, and Bud! The list is long, and they all did pretty well for themselves! I wish him the best of luck!

Unlike Bud, nobody is going to be offering big purses to the track star. He's unwatchable to casuals. He's hard to watch for most fans FFS

Youre joking right? You realise that whites are a minority in the sport.

He's not a star because he's dull. This is not about who can do fencing the best, fans simply want the fighter to give them a good reason to tune in.

Is this the same culture that Ryan Garcia comes from? Who has he blamed for his steroid use already? Logan Paul? Scooter? Ashwaghanda? Who's next?

A whole lot so Shakur should just sign with them already!

They said the same thing about Bud which is why he eventually left and went on to make 10x's more with PBC than he ever did with TR. Which is the reason why Shakur will follow the same path.
