    Calzaghe calls out Tarver/Johnson Winner!!

Brit Fighter Joe Calzaghe called out the winner of the Antonio Tarver/ Glen Johnson fight. Claims he is the real deal and that he is going to prove it against either of the men that beat Roy Jones. Haven't heard much about this dude, but sports a good record 38-0 30 KO. Seems pretty ballsy, called Jones a punk and everything. I'll have to do some checking and see what this dude can bring to the table.

Calzaghe isn't fit to hold jones' jockstrap. Calling someone out and then actually fighting them are two completely different things. Calzaghe might take the fight against either johnson or tarver, but he never once looked like going over to the states looking for a prime jones...the real boxing fans know that he's all talk and no action, just like alot of other fighters these days...why can't more fighters be like tito and tszyu?

yea, i kind of agree. I think it's too early for him to step up to the light heavyweight division AND call out the undisputed champ. He probably wants either a quick fix to get the title or is jsut talking crap. But he is a good, solid fighter. But he would be the big underdog in coming up to face say Tarver, if he beats Johnson.

He's nowhere near the class of a prime Jones, but not many are. I doubt he was serious calling out Jones.

He is comfortably the best supermiddle on the planet though and would hand Lacy's ass to him.

He's been struggling to make the weight for a couple years according to the reports so shouldn't have a problem stepping up and I'd give him the edge against Tarver because of his speed.

I'd like to see Calzaghe/Tarver, 'cause its time for Calzaghe to be humbled. If Tarver shows-up interested and doesn't lay back, Calzaghe will have some real trouble, quick.

Wish Hopkins would move to Calzaghe first though.

That SOB was suppose to fight Glen Johnson for the Lt.Heavyweight Champship in the States earlier this year but had to back out because of either Back problems or personal issues(BLAH).I personally think he got scared and backed out because he fought at 168 in his last fight when he was supposed to already been moving up to 175lbs.He wound up getting floored and almost losing to that Egyptian guy. He's a joke
