Davis hasn't made 130 in four years. He has fought at 140 more recently than he has fought at 130. He'll probably be back at 140 long before Inoue moves up to 130, if he ever does.

    It's not happening.
Nobody said it was happening Im saying its not impossible because its 10lbs, weight classes add up real quick down low, Davis was 134 last fight.

It's not 10 pounds. It's way more than that because guys rehydrate after weigh-ins, and each time you move up in weight guys are rehydrating larger and larger percentages of their body weight.

Inoue is going to be 32 next year when he moves up to 126. There's no damn way that Davis can make 130 anymore. So you're expecting Inoue to jump two more weight classes after 126, all the way to 135 pounds, in his mid 30s?

Get real. He'd have to put on 35 freaking pounds to match the size of a guy like Davis when he rehydrates, if not more.

Youre telling me to get real and talk putting on 35 pounds lol, what weight do think Inoue is in the ring fight night? and Davis fightnight, how do you know Inoue is not 136/8 and Davis 140 , 35lbs lol, I guarantee you there is not 35lbs between them fight night.

Hard to find a definitive weight or anything official a few reports say he was quoted in a Japanese article

Naoya Inoue confirmed today that he’s recently been weighing 137 lbs on fight nights.

famicommander is implying that Davis weighs 150+ on fight night...which might be the case. Add 30lbs to a 122lb Inoue and you get 152. IDK if Davis rehydrates THAT much. Even so, Inoue is already 30. If he's still capable of cutting weight to make 122-126 at that age, then it probably means he'll be too small for 135.

Davis is small at his weight he always looks a little flabby he says he can make 130, Im saying its unlikely but its not impossible, there is a real 10lbs between them, depending on the fight night weights and who dries out the most would come into it, its not 35 lbs that's redicules.

Boxers tend to say a lot of things, but it's best to go by their actions. I think Loma has stated he could make 130 again, but he's never actually done it. I'm pretty sure Bivol has also said the same in terms of 168, but never moved down either. I think Davis is comfortable at 135 and won't risk moving up or down. It's a fantasy match-up, nothing more. I'd be satisfied with match-ups like Davis vs. Loma/Shakur/Zepeda and Inoue vs. 126.

Bivol wanted to fight Canelo at 168, but Canelo said no, so Bivol didn`t bother trying to make the weight.

Bam is no where near the size/power of Inoue.

Bam has some good fights vs Ioka/Martinez and Junto Nakatani.
I think Bam vs Ioka is a close fight with Bam coming out on top.

Junto will be tough for Bam because of the power and reach.

I tend to agree Im just saying its not impossible if Manny can go to 154 Inoue can go to 130 if he wants to, I don't count divisions etc I look at the man and his weight, men can put on pounds when they want to, the only thing I disagree with is people saying its impossible, if Inoue is 137 on fight night as he stands it all depends on what Davis is fightnight, I don't know but I don't think Davis goes up much he doesn't appear to me to be a guy struggling to make weight his body looks soft carrying wet weight, they stand the same height with the same reach.there is 2yrs in age between them.

Again I doubt it will ever happen but who knows.
